I work professionally with a very expensive diagnostic device from the brand Gutmann, and I have already had three cases where the Launch Tester managed to handle processes that our Gutmann Tester couldn’t, including service reset on current BMW models as well as driving the electronic handbrake of a relatively new Audi into maintenance position.
The operation could be more straightforward as you need to get used to it a bit at first, but then it’s fine.
Another advantage over the Gutmann device is how easy it is to obtain information about control devices, for example. the hardware number.
All in all, a very nice device with a really good price/performance ratio.
