It is made of stainless steel tubes, it is hollow, so it is very lightweight without losing resistance. I weigh 95 kilos and it holds me perfectly well when going up and down, because it is very light. I will use it when I go out and I know I will have long walks, so I can take small breaks, regardless of whether there is a place to sit or not. I bought the 30 cm high one and it is perfect for my height of 1.70 m.
