1. Put the universal ball into the nut, then insert it into the socket on the back of the holder. Tighten the nut
2. Open the clip, fasten the bracket to the handlebar, and tighten the two screws on the clip

The product is exactly a subscribed in the listing. It fit my bike fantastically. The swingable head is useful and it even fits my very oddly shaped phone. Secures very tightly phone does not move around once the latch is hit and even holds up at higher bicycle speeds such as 28 mph.
