My son is a scrawny 6 year old and I got a 6. In my situation I think this fit him perfectly. I'd say the material feels great for the price also. Im happy with the purchase. My only regret is i didnt order the package with the coat/blazer mainly cuz I was worried about the quality. I didn't have any durability issues , but I also didnt just throw it in the washer all willy nilly. I used gentle cycles and didnt have any issues.
