All 6 of the 100mm rods were practically free of cosmetic defects. In terms of functionality, the male and female threads are well-machined. The rods have some weight to them, and they are very solid (they are not hollow, unlike some low-quality competing products). I am very satisfied with these 100mm rods, but, unfortunately, a significant number of the 300mm rods (and, to a lesser extent, the 200mm rods) had arrived with pre-shipment damage (scrapes and non-removeable smudges). I am very satisfied with these 150mm rods, but, unfortunately, a significant number of the 300mm rods (and, to a lesser extent, the 200mm rods) had arrived with pre-shipment damage (scrapes and non-removeable smudges). 2 of the 6 200mm rods had arrived with minor cosmetic damage (mostly confined to the lower ends of the affected rods). While noteworthy, the scraped portions are not nearly as obvious as the 300mm rods. In terms of functionality, the male and female threads are well-machined. The rods have some weight to them, and they are very solid (they are not hollow, unlike some competing products). I would have preferred zero damage to the black coating. As the rods arrived in separate unpunctured zip-sealed bags, it is apparent that the damage had occurred prior to shipping, hence the 4 stars.
