This is a big comb. I have big hands so probably looks smaller. It seems strong enough as was able to help get the knots out of my dog’s hair although i was gentle on my beloved friend. For the money this is a good comb. As for actual strength, when i bend the prongs they do bend which means they aren’t brittle which me is a good thing because you have plenty of warning before they would snap.
