I received two snuggly sleepers in size 12-18 months–one for a boy in blue and white with cars, trucks and heavy machinery, and one for a girl in green with delicate white flowers. Both sleepers have many mommy/baby-friendly features to love:
***The 100% breathable cotton fabric is soft, lightweight yet substantial, and moisture-wicking. The material is also stretchy which makes it easier to put on a wiggly baby. Since the jammies are cotton, there are no harsh chemicals to touch baby's skin, and if you have a little one who has a thermostat that runs hot, cotton is a good solution. Yes, all-cotton can shrink somewhat when washed, but not excessively if you are careful. You just have to remember to turn the garment inside out and use the cool cycle when washing, and to avoid high temperatures when drying.
***The double zippers make diaper changes so much smoother. You don't have to fully undress baby to make him or her dry again. The two-way zippers are functional and go up and down without getting snagged.
***The wrist and ankle cuffs are giving, soft and not restrictive at all. They are flexible, but when stretched in movement, they bounce back.
***The footless legs of the sleepers make them good for warmer weather. Since the sleepers are full-length, they are good for winter months, too.
IN SUMMARY, THESE TWO SLEEPERS ARE CUDDLY AND CHARMING, BUT THEIR PRACTICAL FEATURES SERVE THEIR PURPOSE WELL FOR BOTH MOMMY AND BABY!
Ok, so to lead with the reason for the 4 star rating, the outfit option was being sold as Size 6 – 12 month PJ's, however they are very clearly 12 month PJ's (I guess unless you have a reallllly long 6 month baby.) Besides that which makes it a little difficult to shop for accurate sizes, the outfit itself is quite nice.
The outfits are Gender Neutral in a way that you get sort of one of each. One being Floral, and one being Trains and Animals. Neither really lock to one gender or another as who doesn't like simple flowers and what kid doesn't like animals and trains?!?
There are no feet and the material is a little thinner which may lend them to be better in summer months rather than winter depending on your climate and what temperature you keep your kiddos sleeping area at.
When compared to Carters 12 Month PJ's, these are a bit longer and a little bit more narrow but the material is 100% cotton which is nice soft and stretchy which should allow kiddo to fit and move around in comfortably.
Overall for a simple pair of PJ's, they look and feel nice and kiddo seems to have no problem in them at all. The only knock would just have to be wishing there was a bit more firm sizing information and selection when shopping online for PJ's since these kids grow like a weed at this age but do need fitting clothing at each stage.
These pajamas are super cute and fit true to size, which is always a relief when ordering baby clothes. The fabric is soft, lightweight, and has a nice stretch to it, so it moves with baby instead of feeling stiff or restrictive.
One of my favorite features is the double zipper-it makes diaper changes way easier, especially at night. It also has the fabric flap over the zipper, which helps prevent irritation or rubbing on baby’s skin (small detail, but it matters).
They’re lightweight and breathable, making them great for warmer weather or indoor wear without overheating. After wearing and moving around, they still hold their shape well and don’t bunch awkwardly.
To keep the colors and pattern looking good longer, I’d recommend washing them inside out. Baby crawled, stood, and played in these without any restriction or bunching
